Adele Loses Seven Stone on the Sirtfood Diet Plan

Have you seen the news about Adele's seven stone weight loss? She has lost a lot of weight on the Sirtfood diet. A popular weight loss diet. Adele gives credit to the Sirtfood diet for seven stone weight loss!

Sirtfoods are the main source of this diet that Adele used to lose weight. The Sirtfood diet is not a familiar diet plan. I have never heard of it but apparently, it's a good one for weight loss so I plan to give it a go.



In the Sirtfood diet plan, you eat foods that are nutritious and healthy.

Adele's weight loss was a successful journey from what I have seen in the newspapers' pictures. Using the Sirtfood diet plan has worked for Adele. 

Recently, photographs emerged of Adele on holiday with friends, James Corden and Harry Styles, showing off her newfound figure and weight loss of 'seven stone' to the world and everyone wants to know how she did it. I know I do. 

The Sirtfood diet helped and apparently, Harry Styles helped her too along with her doing some palates according to The Sun newspaper

The Sun newspaper states:


"Adele has been trying out The Sirtfood Diet, which encourages slimmers to eat plant foods such as kale and buckwheat.
These foods, known as sirtuin activators, suppress appetite and activate the body's "skinny gene".
The diet allows slimmers to eat dark chocolate and drink red wine, as they are high in sirtuins."

The Mirror newspaper states that Harry Styles has been a good friend to Adele.

"The pair have been close friends for years but they're said to have grown closer over the last few months, with reports suggesting that newly single Adele has started to see the 25-year-old ex-One Direction hunk in a "romantic light".

"A source told Closer magazine: "Harry's always been very health conscious."

"After Adele vowed to get in shape, he said he wanted to help her, so took her hiking on some of his favorite trails in Malibu, occasionally did HIIT (high-intensity interval training) classes with her, and gave her a hand with meal-planning and cooking to help her stay on track."


What is Sirtfood?

Sirtfood is high in sirtuin activators and is a type of protein that protects the cells in our body from dying and becoming inflamed because of illness. They are also good for your metabolism, burning fat and eating this way increases muscle. So, if you are looking to gain muscle then you should be eating sirtfoods every day.

What do you eat on the Sirtfood diet?

If you want to start doing the Sirtfood diet then start eating the following foods along with buckwheat, red wine, and dark chocolate.

apples
citrus fruits
parsley
capers 
blueberries
green tea
soy
strawberries
turmeric
olive oil
red onion
rocket
kale
coffee

What is the Sirtfood Diet Plan?

Two weeks of the diet consists of the following:

First week: 
1000 calories a day. Drink three Sirtfood green juices and eat one Sirtfood rich meal a day. 

Second Week:
1500 calories a day. Eat two Sirtfood meals a day and two green juices a day. 

There is no set plan after the two weeks because it's all about lifestyle changes to include as many Sirtfoods as possible, which will make you feel healthier and make you feel energetic.

Juices Recipe

Here is the juices recipe for the Sirtfood diet plan:

A good way to start is with The Sirtfood Juice. 

Here is the recipe. The book advises drinking 3 juices and adding 1 meal for the first 3 days, then 2 juices, 2 meals for the next 4 but you can do it over two weeks then stick to it as a lifestyle change.

Sirtfood Green Juice (serves 1).
Ingredients:
  • 2 large handfuls (75g) kale
  • a large handful (30g) rocket
  • a very small handful (5g) flat-leaf parsley
  • a very small handful (5g) lovage leaves (optional)
  • 2–3 large stalks (150g) green celery, including its leaves
  • ½ medium green apple
  • juice of ½ lemon
  • ½ level tsp matcha green tea
Instructions:
Mix the greens (kale, rocket, parsley, and lovage, if using) together, then juice them. We find juicers can really differ in their efficiency at juicing leafy vegetables and you may need to re-juice the remnants before moving on to the other ingredients. The goal is to end up with about 50ml of juice from the greens.
Now juice the celery and apple. You can peel the lemon and put it through the juicer as well, but we find it much easier to simply squeeze the lemon by hand into the juice. By this stage, you should have around 250ml of juice in total, perhaps slightly more. It is only when the juice is made and ready to serve that you add the matcha green tea.
Pour a small amount of the juice into a glass, then add the matcha and stir vigorously with a fork or teaspoon. We only use matcha in the first two drinks of the day as it contains moderate amounts of caffeine (the same content as a normal cup of tea). For people not used to it, it may keep them awake if drunk late. Once the matcha is dissolved add the remainder of the juice.

Give it a final stir, then your juice is ready to drink. Feel free to top up with plain water, according to taste.
